Bubblr is a web tool which allows people to make a slideshow presentation  using images that originates from the the Flickr website. Learners can create their own descriptions, dialogue and ideas in the images and arrange them according to a particular situation. Below is the tool in action.

What Is Great About Bubblr

What Are Its Limitations

• The pictures cannot be repositioned after it has been selected
• Not every pictures are available in Flickr 
• There are plenty of pictures but finding the suitable one for your presentation takes quite a while
• There is a lack of background music
• The fonts could not be changed
• The dialogue bubble can sometimes cover the images
• It is very dependent on the internet connection

How Can The Teacher Use It In Class ?

One of the ways Bubblr can be used in a classroom is it obviously serves as an alternative to the regular Power Point presentation. Therefore, in order to make it more interesting, teachers can ask the learners to get creative and  create a comic strip regarding a particular theme or topic. This could also be a group or pair work. After the have finished, they can share them with the rest of the class and the teacher or their peers could give some feedback.
